The Industry’s First Purpose-Built, All-Glass Ballistic Door
More than meets the eye.
While this may look like an ordinary Class A glass door, it’s anything but ordinary. Defendoor™ was born from our experience manufacturing, installing, and maintaining ballistic glass doors, and supporting customers with poorly-performing glass doors from other manufacturers. There simply was no product on the market that could provide ballistic level 3 protection and forced entry level 8 protection with a refined aesthetic—and stand up to the rigors of continuous operation.
We created the Defendoor™ to fill this void in the market: An all-glass ballistic door designed to look just as good as a standard glass door, but install more easily, operate more effortlessly, require less maintenance, and provide comprehensive protection from gunshots and physical attacks.
It all hinges on a revolutionary pivot design, which enables remarkably quick and easy installation and adjustment, as well as effortless operation and unmatched longevity. Our proprietary door assembly performed flawlessly for over one million continuous cycles—a performance milestone unmatched in the industry.
Glass-clad polycarbonate (GCP) provides identical appearance as clear glass, and the door’s sleek, proprietary design provides class A elegance and unobstructed view. Suitable for interior or exterior applications, the Defendoor™ is compatible with all standard door options and leading access controls.
Most importantly, ForceShield™ GCP provides peace of mind, withstanding UL 752 Ballistic Level 3 penetration (low spall) and ASTM 3561 level 8 standard specification for forced entry active shooter attack.
