Serving defense contracts, the company established the present-day Ballistic Glass & Armor Solutions production facility in Addison, Texas to manufacture the industry’s highest-performing ballistic glass for armored vehicles in combat zones.
Demand for such military-grade products quickly expanded into police and civilian applications, and Ballistic Glass & Armor Solutions was founded in 2018 to address this growing market. The company expanded its offerings to meet the needs of its clients, applying military technology and expertise to develop ballistic and forced-entry solutions for schools, workplaces, police and government facilities, retail storefronts, and places of worship.

Every Ballistic Glass & Armor product is independently tested against the ballistic penetration limits included in the United States Underwriters Laboratory (UL) standard commonly known as UL 752, which establishes 10 levels of resistance to ballistic threats from a 9 mm handgun (Level 1) to a military grade .50 caliber rifle (Level 10). Additionally, products like our SchoolSafe™ solutions are put through market-specific tests to ensure that they meet or exceed standards, such as the ASTM F3561 standard test method for forced-entry-resistance of fenestration systems after simulated active shooter attack.
