Forced-Entry and Ballistic Glass for Educational Settings
Peace of mind for parents, teachers, and students.
Ballistic Glass & Armor Solutions’ exclusive SchoolSafe™ glazing is specifically designed and engineered to withstand the active shooter threats facing our nation’s schools and higher education institutions. Already installed in over 150 facilities, SchoolSafe™ products provide tested and proven protection from gunfire and prolonged physical attacks.
Unlike thin-film products, SchoolSafe™ uses multiple bonded layers of glass, polycarbonate, and polyurethane to create a thick ForceShield™ that can withstand extensive abuse, providing up to 20 additional minutes of protection from armed intruders. Available in two distinct products, SchoolSafe™ Standard provides comprehensive protection from forced entry, and SchoolSafe™ Premium adds an additional layer of protection with ForceShield™ Level 1 bullet resistance—the industry’s only bullet-resistant school safety glass.
An excellent choice for both exterior and interior applications, including storefronts, curtainwalls, doors, and partitions, SchoolSafe™ products provide natural daylight, visibility, and enhanced thermal comfort. When used in exterior applications, SchoolSafe™ can be made into high-performance insulating glass units to provide improved building performance in addition to protection from gunfire and impact.
